Add an event
Tap + at the bottom. Give the event a title and a date, and if you like a time, an icon, a category, a place, notes and a checklist. Choose how it repeats: never, daily, weekly, monthly or yearly. Tap the wand instead to describe it in a sentence and let the AI fill the form.
Countdowns and past events
Each card counts down to its event. A yearly or monthly event counts down to its next time. A one-off event that has passed shows how long ago it was, and you can archive it from its ⋮ menu.
Hijri dates
In the event form, switch the calendar to Hijri and enter the Hijri day, month and year; the Gregorian date is shown as you type. Yearly Hijri events repeat on their Hijri date (Umm al-Qura calendar).
Reminders
Set how long before the event you want to be reminded, in days, hours and minutes. You can write the reminder’s message yourself, or ask the AI to write it. Allow Memolr’s notifications when asked. On Android, allow “Alarms & reminders” so they ring on time. On the web, reminders appear only while memolr.com is open. A one-off event that has passed gets no more reminders.
Views, sorting and categories
Switch between the list, the timeline and the wallet with the buttons above the events. The sort button orders them, and the category button shows one category at a time.
Search and smart search
Type in the search field to find events by their words. Tap the wand in the field to search in a sentence, such as “birthdays in December” or “my trips next week”: the AI turns your words into a filter, and your device applies it, so your events are not sent.
The AI features
- Create with AI: describe an event in a sentence, or create it from a photo of an invitation or ticket.
- AI conversation: ask about your events or add one by talking, in writing or with the microphone. Answers can be read aloud.
- In the event form: translate the title into your language, and get an icon and category for titles the app does not know.
- From an event’s menu: insights, and gift ideas for birthdays and anniversaries.
- Card backgrounds: generate a background, or edit a photo you add.
They use Memolr AI, free within daily limits, after you allow it, or your own key from Gemini or another service. Answers can be wrong, so check them. See the privacy policy for what each sends.
On this day
A card above your events shows the anniversaries of past events this week, such as “2 years ago · Today”. Tap one to open it, or put the card away until tomorrow. It is worked out on your device.
Archive
Archive a past one-off event from its ⋮ menu to tidy your list. Archived events are kept under the archive button at the bottom, where you can restore or delete them.
Share an event
Choose Share from an event’s ⋮ menu to send a picture of its card through your phone’s share sheet, or download it on the web.
Backup and restore
Your events are only on your device. In Settings, Backup saves them to a file you keep; Restore reads such a file back, merging with your events or replacing them. Do this before changing phones.
Widgets
On Android and iOS, add the Memolr widget from your home screen to see your next events at a glance. It follows the phone’s light or dark appearance.
Language and appearance
The buttons at the top switch the language, among 28, and between the day and night appearance.
Achievements and statistics
The trophy shows the achievements you unlocked; the chart shows statistics about your events.
